Rosa

I am Rosa. I have sixteen siblings. There are ten boys and six girls. Unfortunately, I have never lived with my father because he left when my mother was three months pregnant with me. Even without my father, my mother and my family have always given me an opportunity to study, and now I am beginning my first year of high school. I want to continue studying so that in the future I can be bio-analyst and help in the development of my community.

Jenifer

My name is Jenifer. I am 16 years old. I live in La Cucarita and I have six younger sisters. In my family, there are 9 of us and my father is the only man. My parents are very loving with me and support me in everything. I am very interested in seeking a better future so that I can help in the development of my community. I want to have a better future and to see my community progress. I want to be a teacher so that I can offer a better education and sufficient education for the children of this community.

Nana

I am 14 years old and my name is Fredelina but I am also called Nana. I have one younger sister and one younger brother. My family has a very happy home because we are always united in we are always united in good times and in difficult times. I want to be able to have sufficient classes and I like to study. I want to be an engineer to help my community to develop educationally, socially and culturally.

Elmi

My name is Elmi. I like to talk with my friends. I have always lived in La Cucarita. My father's name is Nilson and my mother's name is Joselin. I have 2 brothers and 2 cousin who live with us but my brothers have to study away from La Cucarita for high school. I am just beginning high school. I want to be a doctor so that I can take care of the people in "las lomas" (the hills), especially in La Cucarita. My community has developed into a great place for education.

Lucia

My name is Lucia Victoriano Vicente. I live in La Cucarita w ith my father and my mother and my brother and sisters. I have 15 years old and the fifrst daughter in my family. I study in Los Frios and I'm in tenth grade. I wish and dream of becoming a business woman and I wish to learn more about the business worl. I want to study because I want to have a better education than my parents had. I want to help my family and I want to help my community become a different place. I want to study so that I can be an example to all young people in the community.
